Recently, on my lawyer side of things, I had to schedule mediation with another mediator. This scheduling involved multiple calls to that mediator’s assistant, then calls to opposing counsel, then back to the mediator. I would venture to say that scheduling this mediation took no less than 10 telephone calls. Several attorneys I know are just like me in that they are solo attorneys. Maybe they have an assistant maybe they do not, but making that many telephone calls to try to schedule one mediation takes too much time out of their day.
I know of only two other mediators who offer online scheduling. They are at the top of my list because all I have to do is go to their calendar, compare to my calendar, then email the opposing party/attorney with the dates that the mediator and I are available and get their availability.
I offer online scheduling as well because it should be easy. My online scheduling syncs with my calendar and my conference room availability to ensure that if you schedule a mediation with me that time is available. So feel free to check out my online scheduling. You will see all of my daytime availability. You will also see that I offer completely flexible scheduling. Most mediations start at either 9:00 a.m. or 1:30 p.m., but with me, if you need to start at 10:00 or 11:00 you can. If you need times outside of normal business hours then shoot me an email and I will try to accommodate evening or weekend mediations as well.
